The terms under which Inner Context software is provided. They are brief because the software is simple and the license is open.
All Inner Context software—including WaterCooler, opencode-coworker, opencode-mailbox, opencode-cron, and opencode-status—is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software, subject to the conditions of that license.
Inner Context software is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the software.
All data generated by Inner Context products is stored locally on your machine. You own it completely. We have no access to it. See our Privacy Protocol for details.
WaterCooler runs a local HTTP server that, by default, binds to all network
interfaces (0.0.0.0). This means other devices on your local network
may be able to access the office interface. You are responsible for configuring
the --host flag appropriately for your environment. We recommend
--host 127.0.0.1 if you wish to restrict access to your machine only.
Inner Context software depends on open-source packages distributed through npm. These dependencies are governed by their own licenses. The WaterCooler frontend loads Three.js and marked.js from cdn.jsdelivr.net. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability or content.
Contributions to Inner Context open-source projects are welcome and are accepted under the same MIT License. By submitting a pull request, you agree that your contribution may be distributed under that license.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Questions about these terms may be directed through the channels listed on our contact page.
